Project Fast PaaS: Making it Easier to Deploy and Manage Applications in the Cloud
Preview Dell’s enhancements to Cloud Foundry
Project Fast PaaS (platform-as-a-service) is one of Dell’s public cloud innovations to build a better cloud. With this preview, Dell has made enhancements to Cloud Foundry PaaS that can significantly reduce the time it takes to deploy applications to the cloud — in some cases, from months to minutes.
If you are a PaaS IT professional, please join us as we explore creating and managing an open-source private PaaS. Possible benefits for participants include a standardized deployment model and framework, shorter time to market, better resource utilization and lower operating costs.
As an open-source solution, the preview features:
- Multi-language compatibility including Ruby, NodeJS, Java, PHP and Python
- Multi-framework compatibility including Django, Grails, JavaWeb, Lift, Node, Play, Rack, Rails, Sinatra and Spring
- Multi-service compatibility including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ and Redis
Why Cloud Foundry?
Cloud Foundry is an active open-source project with broad industry support released under Apache 2.0. It is also evolving rapidly with extensible design capabilities.
