Dell OpenManage Connection for IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus monitors Dell devices by receiving alerts on the IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus console.  It also supports one-to-one element management console launch following Dell device alerts and Dell Tools launch from the OMNIbus console in order to perform troubleshooting, configuration and management activities.

Product features

• Monitoring of alerts from Dell Servers, Dell Remote Access Controllers, Workstations, Chassis, Storage arrays, and Network Switches
• Provides agent-free, out-of-band monitoring by leveraging iDRAC with Lifecycle Controller
• Correlates alert automatically to focus on the current outstanding problems only, thus helping in quicker fault detection and resolution
• Configuration or management of Dell devices by launching Dell one-to-one and one-to-many console solutions directly from Netcool/OMNIbus console

  • Dell Compellent Storage Arrays

• Support for additional traps for the following devices:
  • Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) and OpenManage Storage Management (OMSS) for OpenManage release 7.3, 7.4 and 8.0.1
  • Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 7 (iDRAC7) versions 1.56.55 to 1.57.57
  • PowerEdge VRTX version 1.30 to 1.31
• Support for the following Dell device specific one-to-one console launches from the generated alerts:
  • Dell OpenManage Switch Administrator Console (for N-Series switches)
  • Dell Compellent Storage Manager Console
• Support for the following Dell device specific one-to-many console launches from the generated alerts:
  • Dell OpenManage Network Manager (OMNM) Console
  • Dell Airwave Management Platform Console (for W-Series switches)
• Support to view Dell warranty information of the Dell device from the event context
